Finally watched Ghostbusters (2016)... and although I wished it was in the same Universe as the originals, one could only appreciate it for what it was. Not gonna lie, when it started out, I smiled and giggled... but nothing more than a Disney special. THEN, for some reason when the comedy of Leslie Jones was met with the mesh of the other actors, I REALLY Laughed! That joke about electricity in the subway is what hooked my first laugh out loud Then during the concert, when the ghost had her around the collar area, her response and reaction had me rolling! Then when it ALL came together in between the cameos of the original cast, and that Nostalgia of seeing Slimer, and Stay Puff hit the screen... that final ghost brawl happened. That's when I nodded and said "You know what, this movie is now on my good watch list." I mean, that rumble was actually a good time! I, of all people never put the connection to Earnie Hudson until literally moments before he came out, duh, should've seen that one a mile away!
Anyway, I did enjoy it 7 times more than I thought I would! All those Leslie Jones haters should be ashamed of themselves... she actually helped make the movie more diverse and enjoyable! Too bad no Rick Moranis though, the way he went into retirement was a true sad story. Nevertheless... Now I think I may have a small crush on Kate McKinnon now. ;-)

Oh, and if anyone REALLY wants the true sequel to Ghostbusters 2. Then by all means, play Ghostbusters the Video game for PS3, XBox360, and PC. Harold Ramis (Eagon) and Dan Akroyd wrote it, and even though I haven't finished it yet... It is very, very well written. Set 2 yrs after Ghostbusters 2. That is as genuine as its gonna get people!
