Teen Titans: The Judas Contract...
Let me start off by saying, Thank You DC; Bravo, you really did a magnificent fan service with this one. As they pick up from the previous movie, Teen Titans vs. Justice League (following the Son of Batman Series,) the group flashbacks to 5 yrs ago. The Teen Titans were looking like a shade of Young Justice mixed with the original Teen Titans (2003); consisting of Beast Boy, Bumblebee, Speedy, Kid Flash, and Dick Grayson as Robin. After saving Starfire, and officially meeting her… she kisses Robin, and lets it be known that her kind kisses other species to learn their language. This of course opens joke innuendos for Speedy, and Kid Flash. I knew then, that this movie was going to involve more laughs than the last installment… and I was right.

I have liked all films set in this new Justice League universe so far, ever since War. I (in my opinion of course) feel that TT vs. JL has possibly been the less absorbing of all the films so far, even though it possibly has done the most fan service. Story wise, it just didn’t get my gears pumping; and the action just never peaks… BUT, I do think it was a necessary installment for future development, of the next animations to come; mainly because they gave us a chance to get to know the Titans all over again, in this newly produced Justice League universe.
The title of The Judas Contract quickly becomes an obvious choice. As fans of the original Teen Titans will come to realize, that more than likely they will follow the same plot scheme as they did once before, concerning Terra. I was just happy to have her back into the fold for the new generation, despite on what I obviously saw coming…

***Warning… Spoiler Alert***

So yea, us super fans, or just good ol fans; knew that Slade was pulling the strings before halfway through the film. I was thrilled to see Nostalgia come pouring out all over the place, as Romance was strong in the air. Nightwing had his Starfire, and as usual DC didn’t hold back; allowing Starfire to make several Sex references, even one about how Dick performs well in the sack! Actually, the name Dick was thrown around in plenty of ways, but as far using it as an actual name reference for Nightwing, there was truly a lack thereof. YET, it was all funny and timed perfectly. Then there was Beast Boy and his inevitable Terra attraction. This they followed closely to the original show, even in Terra’s final moments, it felt like a nod to his fatal attraction that we witnessed from years ago. Then there was Raven and Damien (Robin), that chemistry is always interesting to see unfold as time goes on. Also… there was… well, Deathstroke and… Terra? I knew they had a father daughter bond in previous incarnations... but this was like, “Hey little girl, when you’re ripe and ready, I’m gonna have you… and I’m gonna let you have me.” The funny part about it, I knew he was playing her… but I can only wonder how far he would have taken it, if he hadn’t betrayed her in the end?

Kevin Smith had a lengthy cameo this time, and it served as an introduction to Wonder Girl, and an official confirmation that Terra did in fact die in Beast Boy’s arms. I held out hope that she’d make it, and although it never was confirmed that she did 100% die… it’s all pointing to yes… yes she is dead. For story purposes, I’m sure they are leaving that window open for now.

Anyway, this is a must see movie, the action and fight sequences were truly on point, and it was a legitimate fan service to have both Robins of past and present double teaming Slade. Paying homage to the ongoing beef that once was, and now is. Yet despite Terra’s efforts to slay Slade, more than likely… he still lives.

Oh and Blood, he was just hilarious, in the end… Loki style Hilarious.
Post credit shows that Jericho lives from his gunshot to the head.
Thanks for reading, and Enjoy this movie, it definitely was worth the watch!!
