"Revolution" is probably going down in my viewing history as the Best Post Apocalyptic series possibly ever made, at least in the last 10-20 years (Yes, as much of a Fan as I am of The Walking Dead, I like this even better.) Don't get mad TWD Fans, I'm still in love with the show... but this has excitement, drama, action, Comedy, Very on the spot Puns, referencing back to the common pop culture that we still live in.
The cast may not be an All-star cast, but you'd be sure to recognize the many faces including the OH SO VERY Talented Giancarlo Esposito as "Tom Neville." He was the character who I loved to see on the screen the most, as through much of it I wanted him to get whats coming to him, while in many other cases I cheered when he arrived on the scene for yet another loophole to skew the plot! Even Malik Yoba joined the cast to help add to the the charismatic team of individuals. Described by its creators as a "romantic swashbuckling sci-fi adventure" it delivers just that!
The action was always on point, the environments were very believable, and the love stories were plenty! This is a J.J. Abrams production at it's best, and I love the aspect of it feeling like a Television Show, I love the aspect that you can tell what obvious surprises laid around certain arches of an episode. This was all about being entertained, almost to a 90's style thrill ride of viewing.
If this were to have been renewed, or picked up by another network, it would surely continue to be a cult hit to the fullest. Maybe I will sign that petition, and keep my fingers crossed. Yet, 42 Episodes with at least 80% closure in the end, wasn't so bad. Even though it's left open for another season, it's always nice to know it resolved season 2 before moving on... No Show should ever end in a cliffhanger season finale, just because of the obvious!

For those who Seek more, they did continue the series in a 4 Chapter Comic Book Series! That can be found here...

As of 4.7.2017, I have yet to watch it; but when I do, I will add my thoughts on it right away!

So, no offense Walking Dead, but you can only build a show off of Main character Death Shock Values for so long. Honestly, the realistic aspect of TWD is respected by me, but dang... it's like sometimes ya'll force main character deaths when absolutely not necessary, or sense worthy for the viewers... but it's cool. It was nice to get a post apocalyptic story line that fulfilled that excitement aspect without zombies.

Must Watch, starts off... with a "Bang."

Where will you be... When the Lights Go out?
