"Ghostbusters" 1984. The original. I can't recall watching it in my later adult life (from start to finish) until now, and you know... This movie ultimately withstands the test of time. After diving back into "The Real Ghostbusters" cartoon... I just had to dig this one up for another go. I even noticed a little Easter Egg during the Great Ghost Escape from the Containment unit... Which is the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man sign, located on the side of that building to the left (Shown Below; although I'm sure avid fans have already peeped that out long ago). Even the comedy held up well after all this time, Bill Murray's comical delivery is always spot on, no matter the decade. Honestly though, the cartoon makes me wish Slimer was always a direct part of their gang in the movies... It just always feel weird watching him get trapped in the motion picture throwback. I do agree with one thing in comparison with the new ones... I LOVED the mixture of CGI and practical in this movie, and I did enjoy the CGI in the 2016 version. Yet, I think it was a tad bit overused in the reboot. I mean, my reaction to the librarian, (The first Ghost ever seen in the 1984 movie) after Ray confronted her... yea, It kinda made me jump! Mixed with the high volume, and surround sound of course, I mean that Claymation was on point!!
